Résidence Lou Castel is situated 10 km. of the centre of the lovely village of Casteljau, situated amidst nature, ca. 85 km. north west of Orange in the popular holiday region of the Ardèche. A great destination for those who like to enjoy an active but also peaceful holiday in a green environment with enough facilities for the little ones and various places of interest in the immediate surroundings. You can go for a lovely walk on one of the numerous marked walking paths but you can also enjoy numerous other activities including canoeing, kayaking, canyoning, spelunking, mountaineering, horseback riding, parapenting or archery. The southern part of the Ardèche is characterized by olive trees, wine regions and chestnut trees. Places of interest definitely worth a visit include the Gorges du Chassezac and the Gorges de l’Ardèche, Vallon Pot d’Arc, the typical villages of Les Vans, Naves, Banne, Balazuc and Thines, the caves of L’Aven d’Orgnac and la Cocalière. Further we can recommend the Bambousserraie in Anduze; a truly large bamboo garden that will take you to another continent. You can also reach this garden in a nice steam train. Both the National Park of Monts d’Ardèche and the Cevennes National Park can be reached from Casteljau. The park has 94 accommodations, spread over a remarkable property of ca. 100 ha, close to a beautiful 12th century castle, in which you also find all of the facilities. Accommodations: The accommodations are spread over the wide property and are situated on the ground floor (FR-07140-01, suitable for 4-pers.) or on the 1st floor (FR-07140-02, suitable for 5 pers.). Both types have a complete and well kept interior and have either a terrace or a covered balcony with garden furniture. On the ground floor there is a parasol at your disposal. All properties are situated in a truly beautiful environment in the middle of nature.
