 The house is a unit composed of 2 parts. You only have access to the main part of the holiday house. This is suitable for from 6 to 8 people. The other part, comprising another bathroom, a dormitory and another bedroom for 2 people will not be accessible. You can however rent the whole of the house by looking on our website under the following code: FR-17123-02.The holiday cottage is situated in the heart of the Charente archipelago, on the magnificent small island of Aix. Built on one level and facing due south, this holiday cottage is located on an enclosed and wooded plot of 1000 m2. The whole of life in the house is based around the spacious veranda, the terrace and its outside kitchen.The shady garden is vast and enclosed. The sea is 200 metres away and bikes are provided for your use. Three kilometres long and 700 metres wide, the island of Aix boasts a landscape that is as diverse as it is varied (beaches, forests, etc.). There is only one way to get there: by boat. You have to leave your car in Fouras and take the ferry. The owner offers to let you leave your car in his locked garage on the mainland just a short distance from where you take the boat (only at times when parking must be paid for). He also keeps a small trolley in this garage which will help you transport your luggage to the holiday cottage more easily (about one kilometre from where you get off the ferry). You do not just leave your car on the mainland but also stress, noise and all your worries...The island is even more beautiful in mid-season.
