Description
This traditional 120 year old farmhouse is on the Fontachoulet Country Estate in the Dordogne. The large detached country house is equipped with every modern convenience. The holiday home is part of the house. It is comfortably and tastefully furnished.Fontachoulet is a very large estate with grounds of around 18,000 m2. The grounds are fully enclosed with a trellis fence which will prevent children wandering off. There is a swing and tree house in the orchard. It is a perfect place for a picnic. You can also enjoy a campfire or relax in the large hammock.The scenery around the farmhouse is made up of hills, woods, small lakes and brooks. The village of La Coquille is 7 km away and Thiviers is 11 km. You will find supermarkets, a baker, butcher and grocer in the villages. You can enjoy many excellent restaurants in the area. Specialities of the region include foie gras, confit de canard, truffles and nuts. Famous cities such as Bergerac, Cahors and St Emilion are each around 90 minutes away by car. Limoges and Perigueux, both 50 km away, are well worth a visit.Non smoking
