Description
This old detached house is above a small, quiet valley near the River Vezere. The house is full of character and was renovated some years ago. It is furnished in a country style and has charming antique furniture. The stable has been converted into a large living room with French doors leading to terraces. There is a wooded slope behind the house with pleasant seating areas and delightful views. The long narrow terrace at the front side of the house is surrounded by fragrant rosemary and lavender. The fascinating surrounding area has beautiful old towns, markets, castles, restaurants, gardens and a climbing park. The famous pre-historic cave paintings of Lascaux are only six kilometres away. Les Eyzies is ten kilometres away and has a number of caves and a famous museum. The area also has beautiful stalactite caves. The town of Sarlat is just 25 kilometres away and is in the heart of the Perigord Noir region. The town has a rich history. The old town centre has been renovated and is a monument in itself. You can enjoy plenty of sports in the area including golf, canoeing, climbing and walking.
