With a good value for money, it will be a perfect starting point to go discover southern Brittany that is located at some kilometers far from the main trunk road leading to the heart of the region, notably the Gulf of Morbihan, as well as the beaches and megaliths of Carnac.The region:The department of Morbihan is located in southern Brittany and is famous for its weather that is the mildest one of this amazing region.Its name comes from the Breton word "mor bihan", "the small see", in other words the gulf that is its most outstanding tourist asset. With dozens of islands, an amazing fauna and flora, the Gulf of Morbihan is a paradise for those who like sailing.You will also be interested in the Carnac stones (megaliths), the old harbor of Saint Goustan in Auray, the peninsula of Quiberon and of course Belle-Ile en Mer.
